HOSTELS
Pre-Matric Hostels:- ( 3rd Class to 10th Class)
To uplift the socio-economic backward classes and to overcome the dropouts of the children at the level of schools.
The students of respective ages as per the class are eligible to take admission in SCDD Hostels from class 3rd to 10th. Concerned Hostel Welfare Officers are competent to admit the eligible children in the S.C Development hostel as per the requisition of the parents based on the sanctioned strength following caste ratio.

(22) Pre-Matric Hostels are functioning with the Total strength of (1579) Out of which (15) for Boys Hostels and (7) for Girls Hostels. All Pre-Matric Hostels are located in Government Buildings (Boys:- 994 & Girls:- 585)
Departmental College Hostels:- (Intermediate Level to P.G Level courses)
To encourage the students studying Post matric courses, SC Development Department functioning the Post matric Hostel by providing free lodging and boarding facilities.
Student who is eligible for Post matric scholarships are eligible to be admitted in Post matric Hostels.
(9) Post-Matric Hostels are functioning with a Total strength of (816) Post-Matric Students Out of which (5) for Boys with a strength of (398) and (4) for Girls College Hostels with a strength of (418).

Facilities provided to Hostel Boarders in Pre-Matric and Post-Matric Hostels :-
Free lodging and boarding facilities are provided to these boarders. Sanna Biyyam (Super Fine Rice) has being supplied by District Civil Supplies Corporation to Govt. SCDD Hostels (Pre-Matric & Post –Matric) of Bhadradri Kothagudem District according to the indent. Their quality of Rice is very good. There is no complaint on supply of rice till to date. (0.600 Gms to Post-Matric and 0.400Gms to Pre-Matric)
- Diet Charges :- Rs.950/-P.M. per boarder up to 7thclass.
(Pre-Matric) Rs.1100/-P.M. per boarder from 8th to 10th class.
(Post-Matric) :- Rs.1500/- P.M. per boarder
(Post-Matric) :- Rs.500/- P.M. per boarder towards pocket money.
- Cosmetic charges :- Rs.50/- per month for Boys.
Rs.55/-per month for Girls up to VII Class. Rs.75/- per month from Class VIII to X. - Hair cut charges :-Rs.12/- per boarder (Boys) per month.
- Other Materials Provided:- Four pairs of dresses (1 pair of Uniform dress + 2 pairs of to the Boardersprinted dress + 1 pair of night dress) are being supplied each hostel boarder of Pre-Matric Hostels, Trunk box, plate and glass are being provided to each boarder, Woolen Blanket, Paragon Slippers (Chappals), Bata Shoes, School Bag, Sweaters and Monkey Caps, Bunker Beds, RO Water, Towels (TSCO), Sports Material and Boiled Water.
- Tutors are arranged with monthly remuneration of Rs.1500/- per month per subject to achieve better results.(for four Subjects)
- Pre-Matric Hostels are under CC Cameras surveillance.
Post-matric Scholarships
Maintenance Charges and Exam Fee (MTF):-
The MTF component consists of maintenance charges given directly to the students. The Maintenance rate depends on the type of the courses such as Professional (Group I); Post Graduate Courses (Group II); Graduate Courses (Group III) and Intermediate level courses (Groups IV).

Reimbursement of Tuition Fee (RTF):-
The RTF component comprises of all non-refundable fee charged by colleges (as fixed by the University/Boards) and is paid to colleges directly. The fee reimbursed generally ranges from Rs.850/- for Intermediate course to Rs 6.90 lakhs for Medical courses per annum per student. The Fee ranges from Group-wise are as follows:

Ambekdar Overseas Vidya Nidhi (AOVN) :-
Financial assistance for SC Students for pursuing Higher studies in Post Graduate Courses in Foreign Universities.
Countries Eligible: USA, Canada, Germany, France, UK, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand
Under this scheme Rs.95 Lakhs has released during the year 2023-24, Rs. 46,27,210/- sanctioned to SC Student who are studying in other countries.

Corporate College Scheme:- (Financial Assistance to study in reputed Corporate Junior Colleges)
The Government has implement the scheme of providing access to quality education to meritorious eligible poor students belonging to the SC/ST/BC/MW communities who have secured 7.0 GPA and above in SSC examination in reputed colleges in the private sector at the Intermediate level, to enable them to compete in competitive examinations such as IIT/JEE/AIEEE/EAMCET to secure seats in premier Medical and Engineering institutions. The fee payable is Rs. 38,000/- per student of which Rs. 35,000/- is towards college fee and Rs.3,000/- is towards pocket expenses to the student.

Pre-Matric Scholarships
(i) New Scheme (V to VIII) :-
The Objective of the Scheme is to curb the high dropout rate among the SC children by providing a modest incentive to school going SC children.
The scholarship is provided to the SC students studying in a Government School or in a School run by Local Bodies such as Mandal Praja Parishad, Zilla Praja Parishad, Municipalities / Municipal Corporations or any school aided by the Government.
The scale of Scholarship for V to VIII class is as follows:-

Best Available Schools Scheme (BAS):-
The main objective of the Scheme is to provide 100% quality education in the district itself in best selected private schools/Institutions.
The Government has issued orders for enhancement of the fee under Best Available Schools (BAS) Scheme, from Rs.30,000/- to Rs. 42,000/- per annum for Residential Category (Hostellers) or actual (whichever is less) & Rs.20,000/- to Rs. 28,000/- per annum for Non-Residential Category (Day Scholar) or actual (whichever is less) with effect from the academic year 2022-23.
Under this scheme Total number of Seats allotted to this district are (135) out which (66) Non Residential are admission into 1st Class and (69) Residential are admission into 5th Class.
Under this scheme the following schools are functioning in this district.
- St. Josephs High School, Rudrampur, Kothagudem
- Swarna Bharathi High School, Kothagudem
- Little Flowers High School, Bhadrachalam
During the year 2023-24, Rs. 2,32,55,460/- released and Rs.2,31,99,000 /- Sanctioned to Students under BAS Scheme. Three Schools are running under the scheme in Bhadradri Kothagudem District.

Hyderabad Public School:-
The main objective of the scheme is to provide 100% quality education in the prestigious school on par with general students. Who are desirous to study in the Prestigious School, i.e., Hyderabad Public School.
Under this scheme admission in to 1st Class in Hyderabad Public School, Ramanthapur only one (1) seat allotted to Bhadradri Kothagudem District.
Under this scheme eight (8) Students have been admitted in Hyderabad Public School, Ramanthapur from this District after District Bifurcation.
SSC Results :- (Govt. SCDD Hostels)
During the year 2023-24 (166) Students have appeared for the SSC Examination and (144) students have passed in SSC Examination. (Pass percentage = 86.74%)
Incentive Awards to Inter-caste married couples:-
An incentive to the couple of inter caste marriage for effective promotion of inter caste marriages as an instrument for real Social Integration.
One among the beneficiary, bride or bridegroom must belong to SC Community.
The incentive grant will be given only once i.e., persons marrying for the first time only will be entitled except in a case where the bride is a widow or a bridegroom is widower.
During the year 2023-24, Rs.32,50,000/- budget released, Rs.32,50,000/- has been sanctioned to (13) eligible SC Couples.( Rs.2,50,000/-@ each couple with fixed deposit for three (3) Years)

Free Power to households up to 101 Units.
Providing free power to SC Households with monthly consumption of 0-101 units, Service Connection should be in the name of SC.
To benefit under the scheme Consumers have to submit the copy of Caste Certificate along with latest electricity bill to the Concerned AE, Electricity Department of Concerned area.
During the year 2023-24, Rs. 34,74,832/- released, Rs.34,42,072/- has been sanctioned to eligible S.C House Holds with monthly consumption of 0-101 units.
