DEPARTMENTAL ACTIVITIES:
Roads and Buildings Department merged Kothagudem and Bhadrachalam (02) divisions in the combined Khammam district in the year 2014. Sub-Divisions After the formation of Bhadradri Kothagudem district in the year 2016, the Department of Roads and Buildings has (05) sub-divisions, (10) sections under Bhadradri Kothagudem district. This division covers (23) Mandals, and (05) Assembly Constituencies. A total length 1617.00 km of roads are under this District. In it B.T. road is 1425.594 kms, C.C. road is 28.121 km of road, metalled/ metalled but 163.285 km of road, non-metalled.
In the year 2023, the Roads and Buildings Department has been expanded to speed up the development works and the convenience of the people. As part of the expansion, a new (01) Circle office was established in Bhadradri Kothagudem district, the newly formed Circle includes (02) Divisions, (07) Sub-Divisions and (21) Sections. A total of 1617.00 kms of roads are under this Circle.
A total of (138) works were sanctioned in various schemes in Bhadradri Kothagudem district during the last financial year. Their total value is Rs.956.94 Crores, of which (59) works are in progress. (24) Works not started for Forest Department permissions. (50) Works completed. (03) Works to be started. (02) ROBs (Rs.87.22 Crores) are in progress for construction of Kothagudem to Satthupalli Railway Line. (01) R.O.B work completed.
