Palvancha Municipality
Palvancha city (or Palwancha or Paloncha) is a Municipality Government Body in Bhadradri Kothagudem district in the Indian state of Telangana,290 km east of Hyderabad, the nearest railway station is at Kothagudem which is about 12 km away. It was originally named “Bhadrachalam Road”, being the closest railway station from Palvancha,It is principally an important industrial center and is nicknamed the Power City
The town was constituted as 3rd Grade Municipality vide G.O.Ms.No. 47, MA, dt. 04.02.1987 and it was upgraded as 2nd Grade Municipality in G.O.Ms.No. 208 MA, dt.18.05.2001. The town population as per 2011 Census is 80,144 and the extent of the town is 62.82 Sq.Kms. The Municipality has been divided in to 24 wards. There are 33 Notified Slums and 10 Non-Notified Slums.
