Women Child Disabled & Senior Citizen Welfare Department.

 

The following flagship programmes of state & central are being implemented through this the department.

  • Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS)

Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Activities:

  • Arogya Laxmi

II) .VHSND:- (Village Health Sanitation Nutrition Day)

Under VHSND to conduct health checkups to pregnant & lactating mothers and to check hight weight of the childrens. 

 III).Breast feeding week Celebrations .
 IV).Poshan maah Celebrations.

 

SAKHI Centre (One Stop crisis Centre):

Sakhi Centre (One Stop Crises Centre) is functioning in Kothagudem town to provide medical, legal and shelter help to the victimized women.

Disabled & Senior Citizen Welfare:
Welfare of Disabled for sanction of Tricycles, Wheel Chairs, artificial Limbs, Hearing Aids, Cane Sticks and etc., Implementation of Sr.Citizens Act, 2007, Issued Sr.Citizen Cards .

Schemes:

  • Prematric Scholarships 1st class to 10th Class disabled students
  • Post Matrict Scholarship for OC Disabled Students
  • Aids And Appliances : Tricycles, Wheel Chairs, Hearing Aids, Artifical limbs, Cane sticks.
  • Students:- (Regular Degree Students) Motorized Vehicles for Orthopedic, 4G Smart Phones for Hearing, Laptops for Visually challenged persons.
  • Self Employment Scheme :- its provided for disabled persons only.
  • Marriage Incentive Award.

Integrated Child Protection Scheme (ICPS)/District Child Protection Unit:–

Integrated Child Protection Scheme envisages setting up a District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) in each district as a fundamental unit for the implementation of the scheme.

 Child Care Institutions run by NGOs in the District:

  • Protection Of Children from Sexual Offences
  • Child Protection Committees conducted in the District
  • Stopped Child Marriages in the District
  • Sponsorship Beneficiaries
  • Adoption.

Schemes Information:

1). Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS):

a) Arogya Laxmi :- Providing One Meal to Pregnant Woman, Lactating
Woman & 3-6 years children at Anganwadi Centre.

b) Supplementary Nutrition Programme :- Food to 6 months to 3 years
children (Take Home Ration).

c) Pre-School :- supply of Pre-school material (books) for 3-6years
children and supply of play material kits for (0-6yrs)children.

d) Medical Kit:- Supply of Medical Kits to Anganwadi Centre and
conducted health checkups to AGs, Pregnant and Lactating women.

f) Poshan Abhiyaan:- The Government of India decided conduct National Nutrition Month (Rashtriya Poshan Maah) in the month of September, 2019 to create awareness on nutrition food, hygienic condition etc. with the help of all line departments. Work Shop was conducted with all District Heads and Staff Heads of all line departments at Hyderabad on 31.08.2019 to discuss and disseminates plan of action. The detailed Month Long Action Plan is here with submitted for kind peruses. under Poshan Abhiyan the following activities are conducted:
