MISSION BHAGIRATHA GRID

DEVELOPMENTAL ACTIVITIES

        Mission Bhagiratha project is sanctioned in the year 2015. The work is executed and commissioned in the year 2018. Currently the project is under Operation and Maintenance. In Bhadradri Kothagudem district, Mission Bhagiratha works are covered under two segments 1.Godavari segment and 2.Wyra Segment. Godavari Segment covers a total of 1370 habitations and Wyra Segment covers 64 habitations in the district. Water is supplying through local sources for remaining isolated habitations by Mission Bhagiratha INTRA division. Mission Bhagiratha drinking is daily supplying to 83 No.s of Residential Institutions in Bhadradri Kothagudem District.

1. Godavari- Dummugudem segment:

• Godavari –Dummugudem  Sub segment
  • Intake well located at Kummarigudem habitation of Aswapuram mandal on Godavari River and raw water is pumping to 40MLD WTP@ Rathamgutta. From the  WTP treated water is supplying to the 345 habitations in Pinapaka Constituency.
  • From Rathamgutta head works raw water is pumping to the 3900KL GLBR and supplying to the 145MLD WTP@ Thoggudem of Palvancha mandal. The treated water from WTP is supplying to the 837 habitations in Aswaraopeta constituency (5 mandals), Kothagudem constituency (4 mandals and Kothagudem&Palvancha ULBs) and Yellandu constituency (2 mandals and Yellandu ULB).
• Parnasala sub segment ( Integrated Scheme CPWS):
  • Intake well located at Parnasala habitation of Dummugudem mandal on Godavari River and raw water is pumping to the 13.5MLD WTP@Parnasala. The treated water from WTP is supplying to the 186 habitations in Dummugudem and Cherla mandals in Bhadrachalam Constituency.
• Bhadrachalam Town ( Integrated Scheme):
  • Intake well located at Bhadrachalam town on Godavari River. From intake well raw water is pumping to the 12MLD WTP@ Ranganayakula gutta. From WTP, treated water is supplying to Bhadrachalam town.

1. Wyra Segment: –

•  Julurupadu Mandal of Wyra Constituency is covered under Wyra segment of Khammam district. From 50MLD WTP@Kannegiri Hills of Thallada mandal treated water is supplying to the 64 habitations of Julurupadu mandal.
